This weekend we were at the WAKO British Championships in Birmingham for a full two days of continuous and points fighting. All the kids were brilliant and we managed to pick up a number of medals for Tigerstyle Sports Karate.
On day one, Denis picked up a gold and bronze medal for the continuous fighting divisions he entered and Summer also won bronze in her division. On day two, Cody lost a close fight in extra time against a quality fighter and then did brilliantly stepping up a division fighting the bigger kids; Summer fought extremely well but failed to place in the medals; Denis lost out in a massive division after winning some great fights and then won bronze after stepping up a division; and Josh won bronze in his division after losing a close fight in the semi-finals.
Well done kids – we were really impressed with the effort you put in this weekend. Looking forward to the next one already!
